Biomass and its Resources
Biomass is a fuel that is developed from organic matter, a renewable and
sustainable source of energy that is used to create electricity or other forms
of power. Biomass is a renewable source of fuel to produce energy as waste
residues will always exist in terms of scrap wood, mill residuals and forest
resources; and we always have crops and the residual biological matter from
those crops. Biomass offers other significant environmental and consumer
benefits, including improving forest health, protecting air quality, and
offering the most dependable renewable energy source. Biomass is one of the
most plentiful and well-utilised sources of renewable energy in the world. It
is organic material produced by the photosynthesis of light. The chemical
materials are stored and can then be used to generate energy.
